About Us

Champion athletes aren’t just born - they’re selected, trained, molded and tested. Since 2007, Downtown Los Angeles Soccer Club has been a competitive force in the Los Angeles area. We hone raw talent to maturity with quality coaching, primal workouts and a true love of the sport. Teamwork, perseverance, sportsmanship - those are the hallmarks of Downtown Los Angeles Soccer Club.

Downtown Soccer Club was formed in 2007 as Los Angeles Cosmos Soccer Club to serve immigrant neighborhoods immediately west ...of downtown Los Angeles (Pico-Union and Westlake). In 2011, the club expanded to serve the neighborhoods immediately east of downtown Los Angeles (Pico Aliso and Boyle Heights) and renamed itself, Downtown Soccer Club. In addition to those neighborhoods, current members of Downtown Soccer Club come from all over the Los Angeles metropolitan area, including Hollywood, Silverlake, Echo Park, Lincoln Heights, South Los Angeles, Bell Gardens, Lynwood and Long Beach.

Downtown Soccer Club fields teams for boy and girls ages 6-18. Most teams compete in Coast Soccer League. Games and training are held at parks and schools near downtown Los Angeles including Belmont High School, Miguel Contreras Learning Center, Salesian High School and John Liechty Middle School.

Downtown Soccer Club is a non-profit organization managed by a board of directors and staff of professional soccer coaches and administrators.
